DNS propagation explained

The term DNS propagation refers to a period of time that is needed for the update and distribution through the entire global network of servers of the new DNS changes and modifications. This process does not happen instantly, and it sometimes requires a lot of time. The reason behind that involves the nameservers that store the DNS data in their cache memory for a certain amount of time (TTL) until they check for new changes.
